Happy Birthday Andrew! |
Decoration:
First of all, I photographed Andrew's cake smash session the week before his birthday so I could use pictures from the smash for decoration around our home. A family friend who just so happens to make AMAZING cakes hooked us up with a wonderful Death Star smash cake and our little Jedi saved the galaxy from destruction at an early age. :)

My Jedi! |
I purchased the adorable CS Lewis quote on Etsy, Andrew needed it hanging in his room! :)
My hubby made "It's Dangerous to Go Solo" signs and we hung them up near our doors just because we can. I found a Star Wars Name Game online and printed it out as a conversation starter for added fun. Little quirks are simple additions to any party and make a big impact for your guests.
I love how our friend Joe used his Star Wars name on his cup. :) |
Since we went all out on the cake smash session I opted for a simple, store-bought cake for our party guests. Target didn't let me down and produced a yummy cake with Vader and Luke battling with light up lightsabers and "Come to the Dark Side We Have Cake" written across the bottom. We also served up some Edible Ewoks(Teddy Grahams) , Jabba Jigglers(Jello) and Wookiee Cookies (No-Bake Cookies) on our dessert table.
Of course no Star Wars party can be completely awesome without Han Solo frozen in Carbonite Jello right?

We grilled up Hanburgers and Jar Jar Links(I forgot to snap a picture
of that table oops!) and served Princess Lays, Bow-Ba Fett Pasta Salad,
and Obi-Wan Kabob-ies(fruit kabobs that I also forgot to photograph
grr...) to round off dinner. We enjoyed an abundance of yummy food! :)
Fun:
We didn't spend tons of time on fancy activities since our guy is so little but our pool noodle lightsabers got to see lots of action during the party. If you don't have some of these at home, you NEED them. Trust me, you should! Ok, that was dorky, I'll leave the Yoda speak to someone else from now on, I promise. Can you tell that I was extremely precise as I cut them? :) Not so much huh? |
Of course, no Star Wars party could end without an appearance from Darth Vader. David was a super sweetie and dressed up as Vader just long enough to let the kids be victorious against him. Little V smacking him with her lightsaber turned upside down just kills me. :)
